My Portfolio - Steeply Sloping Garden

Brief

The clients had a large garden that wrapped around their bungalow but was 4ft higher than the level of the house. The clients wanted to gain easier access to all levels of the garden and wanted a larger entertaining space.

Designer’s Solution

The garden was opened up by removing part of the existing wall around the bungalow and creating a larger, spacious patio area, creating interest with two raised ponds either side of a flight of steps that went up to a 2nd level and then a 3rd level at the top of the garden. Mixed planting softened the hard landscaping.
