The last of the Autumn colours
Autumn colours are fading fast however one of the last shrubs to lose its leaves is the Cotinus. This is a fabulous example taken earlier this week in a client’s garden.
In the summer the leaves are great but in Autumn the leaves give you a wow and look like a fireball next to the evergreen shrubs.
Adding to the textures in the garden at the moment are the grasses. They take centre stage when all the other plants have gone to sleep.
The calamagrostis standing to attention in front of an evergreen hedge.
Hakoneckloa gracefully going rusty.
The fronds showing a silky shimmer.
The last rays of the sun catching the Miscanthus Morning Light.
